About Megan Carle:

How does a confident, highly experienced senior executive end up laying fully clothed in a hotel bathtub, eyeing the door while stuffing Pringles crisps into her mouth, certain that someone’s coming to hurt her, probably kill her?

Workplace bullying affects millions of people; one in three report and yet it is known as “the undiscussable.” So, let’s discuss it! In doing so we will inform, inspire, and enrage your listeners. We will help them recognize, identify, and navigate workplace bullying. We will connect your listeners to this silent epidemic, to each other, and most importantly, to themselves. They will finally understand that they are not alone. They are not “crazy.” And, they are not at fault. Simply—workplace bullying really f*cks with targets. Together, let’s shine a light on it.

Join Megan Carle, a former Nike executive, who rose the ranks of a male dominated organization, ran into workplace bullying, raised her hand for help, didn’t get it, and, after nearly 30-years, culminating in the role of VP Basketball, made the decision to leave, her mental health in shambles.

The decision flew in the face of her DNA.  As a coach's kid, she had been raised on winning. Winning was the fifth food group. Leaving equated to quitting. Quitting equated to losing. Losing made her a loser.

What if, instead, the win was in realizing that to stay was to acquiesce to a system that wasn’t built to support her? What if, instead, the win was realizing that to leave was a sign of dignity, courage, and an unwillingness to be part of a system that doesn’t play far. What if, instead, the win was in walking away. #walkawaytowin
